Zao Wou Ki - "it never gets dark"

Come and discover the works of the French artist of Chinese origin Zao Wou-Ki (1920-2013), produced in collaboration with the Zao Wou-Ki Foundation. The exhibition brings together nearly 80 works from 1935 to 2009 (oils on canvas, watercolors and Chinese inks on paper) from public and private collections. This set aims to bring to light one of the artist's main themes of creation: to invent new pictorial spaces built from his work on color and the representation of light. Light and space are in fact inseparable in his work and allow us to understand his recurring objective of "showing" what is not visible and which inhabits it, "the space of the inside".
