The Society of Friends of the Cernuschi Museum
The Society of Friends of the Cernuschi Museum, art museum of Asia, was founded in 1922 at the initiative of the first director of the museum: Henri d'Ardenne de Tizac. His first donation, in 1925, a great bas-relief from the late Eastern Han (25-220 AD), marks the beginning of a long unbroken series to this day.
The Friends Society brings together Asian art lovers and collectors, who meet around lectures, tours, trips and an annual dinner
Faithful to its vocation to enrich the museum's collections and to participate in its development, SAMC also welcomes in a privileged way companies that are interested in cultural exchanges as a basis for lasting economic relations.
