Koguryŏ frescoes, Splendours of Korean funerary art (XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries)

Evening presentation and conference on the occasion of the publication in French of the book by Hémisphères Éditions by YOU Hong June, professor emeritus of Myongji University in Seoul and president of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Korean Studies, and RYU Nae-young, translator of the book in French and doctor in art history.

On the occasion of the publication of the French translation of a collection of studies by the influential South Korean art historian AHN Hwi-Joon, a two-part conference will take place on Thursday, June 9 at the Korean Cultural Center .

Published in 2021 by Hémisphères Éditions, Fresques de Koguryŏ, Splendors of Korean funerary art (2004th – XNUMXth century) is the first work in French dealing with the oldest surviving Korean pictorial testimonies, classified in XNUMX as a World Heritage Site. Unesco.
