Visit of the exhibition “Chuang Che, Chaotic Harmony”
Wednesday November 9 at 16 p.m. – Visit to the Vazieux Gallery, 5 bis rue du Louvre, 75001.
Like Zao Wou-Ki and Chu Teh-Chun, Chuang Che renewed traditional Chinese painting by adopting abstraction from the end of the 60s. Recently collected by the Center Pompidou – National Museum of Modern Art, he is considered one of the great pioneers of Chinese abstraction.
The “Chaotic Harmony” exhibition brings together around twenty works produced from the 60s to the present day. It reflects the unique energy that emanates from the abstract landscapes of Chuang Che, and his aesthetic research on the fusion between East and West. It is with the greatest freedom that the artist mixes bright colors, the vitality of the line, the effects of transparency and the materials. From this improbable chaos springs a perfect harmony, full of joy and melancholy.
