Taiwan, a dragon of traditions

Auditorium of the Cernuschi Museum at 18H00.

Taiwan, a dragon of traditions, conference by Constance Barreault, speaker at the Guimet Museum.

Taiwan will be viewed from the angle of its dragonhead aspect draining China and other Asian countries, in the most varied fields, ranging from politics, agriculture, and literature. Its conservative side will then be discussed. This may seem obvious in light of its relationship to recent history, where the installation of General Chang Kai Check has resulted in areas such as art, medicine, gastronomy or martial arts. Further analysis will show that in the past, Taiwan had already demonstrated its ability to assimilate positively.
