From Tuesday June 24 to Sunday September 28, 2014, at the Musée du quai Branly - 37, quai Branly -75007 Paris

Propaganda - Women in the revolution, Vietnam 1954-1980

As part of the France Vietnam Crossing Years, the Quai Branly Museum presents a selection of propaganda posters from 1954 to 2000 from the collections of the Vietnam Women's Museum in Hanoi.

These posters show the essential role of Vietnamese women both at work and in war. We see them, weapons in hand, in the three victorious wars against the French, the Americans and the Chinese, but also in breeding, agriculture and industry. This collection is particularly rich in period proofs with astonishing graphics. The installation also shows original hand-painted sketches, silkscreen and stenciled posters.
