From December 10, 2024 to March 16, 2025 – Hanging.

Echoing the two lacquer masterpieces by Lê Phô presented in the temporary exhibition, the new hanging in the permanent collections of the Cernuschi Museum presents this winter a selection of two preparatory drawings for landscapes intended to be painted in lacquer and a large lacquered panel illustrating the revival of Vietnamese lacquer in the 1930s. In addition, the traditional use of lacquer is evoked through a view of a temple rich in lacquered furniture as well as a pair of parallel sentences bearing wishes for happiness and longevity.
