dark moon

Large ink painting by Gao Xingjian, an essential figure in a cultural history shared between China and France.
Winner of the Nobel Prize in 2000, he is the author of a major work, both literary and pictorial, and has practiced ink painting since 1978. His vocabulary combines an asserted symbolist dimension and abstract formal research using the tonal richness of the 'ink.
