KOKDU, COMPANIONS OF THE SOUL

This exhibition will seduce families with its unusual works: small wooden figurines, formerly used during traditional funerals, depicting characters, flowers, real or supernatural animals ... Far from being sad, these colorful wooden statuettes, with expressions Naive, playful or serious, depending on the role assigned to them, were responsible for watching over the deceased and bringing consolation to families. The kokdu, true spiritual guides, accompanied the soul of the deceased on the path of serenity.
